Idents

Productions companies have ident's which are used to distinguish between different production companies. Idents are changed over they year. This could be due to better animation and graphics technology. There are big idents such as Disney and Warner Bros and small idents such as split moon films or ravenwood productions. Idents is a small animation at the start of the film to represent the production company

Warner Bros was founded in 1923; around this time there was no colour in film. Warner never decided to change their ident majorly. This way recognition is maintained. When colour is introduced thats when they added the colour in film. They also did not have a major change in colour over the years.

As you can see Idents  for companies can change over the years. This could be for different reason such as anniversary idents or better animation on an Ident .

Editing 2

This is the completed editing process. As you can see the sound, music and all effects have been added. As you can see this is much more detailed in editing than the first editing blog. This is because this is all the editing done and the finished film as you can see the titles roll with the film and there is sound during it. We as group decided to have intro music since most urban thrillers do. We also have sound effects on the right hand side which made completed the last clip with the gunshot. On the top right there is our finished title as well.

Editing our thriller 

This is how the editing process started. We had a blank editing project open. We had to import the videos to start editing.

All the footage was then uploaded and titles were added. It was important to get all the edited clips together so you see the rough film in action. It can also get rid of the extra piece of footage you don't need. I also added the titles since they were essential part of the movie which goes with the film. I also added initial transitions to smoothen out the film and to show passing of time where necessary

Filming day 1 

On our first day of filming we drove to our location. This shot in the camera is also one of our shots in the thriller.

This is the estate block we was filming. This is also where our first establishing shot took place. The estate emphasised our idea of an urban thriller. 

This selfie was taken before going out to film. We was all in costume and ready to film!
